The Alturas Capital team is preparing for the SBRE Investor Summit in Del Mar, CA on April 27-30, 2017.  The event, to be held at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar, is a chance for qualified accredited investors to meet real estate entrepreneurs, syndicators and fund managers in the small balance real estate space.

At the summit, Alturas will meet with both current and potential investors to highlight the growth and performance of its Alturas Real Estate Fund. The event provides a platform to showcase the success of the Fund.

“The small balance real estate space is a whole segment of the industry that is frequently overlooked – projects that typically range below $5-15 million in size,” Alturas Managing Partner Blake Hansen said. “The larger projects and institutional funds get the bulk of the attention but small balance real estate projects comprise a much larger portion of the real estate market.”

The event for accredited investors is already sold out – and will center around the themes of education, authenticity and engagement.

“The distinctive format of the SBRE Investment Summit is unlike any other industry event and has contributed directly to its popularity and growing demand amongst both entrepreneurs and investors,” Fairway America CEO Matthew Burk said.

Alturas has presented at the SBRE Investor Summit the past three years and following last year’s presentation, Hansen was named the Emerging Fund Manager of the Year, an award given to the best-in-class managers in the small balance sector.

Over the years, this signature event has presented Alturas an opportunity to establish and deepen relationships with investors.

“Our goal is to provide a forum for fund managers to share their information with people who are there because they are specifically interested in learning more about investing in the space,” Burk said.

“We are building partnerships with our investor clients,” Hansen said. “These events are a great opportunity for experienced, well-qualified investors and best-in-class fund managers to get the know each other and start to build win-win relationships.”

Each year, the summit wraps up with a gala event – which has featured speakers like retired NFL running back Emmitt Smith, NBA Hall of Famer Magic Johnson, Former President George W. Bush and more. This year’s gala will be highlighted by an appearance from comedian Jay Leno.
